Martin is based in Hanoi as Head of Young Learners for British Council Vietnam, overseeing the delivery of English language courses for over 4,000 students aged 5-18, and is currently country Child Protection Focal Point for the organisation. He has worked in ELT for over 25 years, across a dozen countries on three continents. He has numerous ELT qualifications with varied specialisation (from Early Years to Business English Teaching to e-moderation); a post-graduate Diploma in ELT Management (with a focus on Change Management); and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, where his dissertation was on the interference of edtech on methodology. Martin is an experienced conference presenter, teacher trainer, moderator of teacher education courses for Trinity College London, developer of materials for publishers, and a judge on the British Council Innovation Awards, the ELTons. He has lived in Vietnam for nearly four years, and is proud to have two children attending UNIS.
