Before moving to UNIS in 2019 Jenny-Lee worked as Data Privacy Officer and Early Years educator at the International School of Brussels, Belgium. She was the first international school educator to become a certified DPO from the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity at the University of Maastricht, and is CIPP/E certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She holds a Masters in Education specialising in the use of smart technologies in the early years and is a graduate of both Modern European Languages and Education. Prior to teaching, Jenny-Lee spent 12 years as a policy advisor and lobbyist to the EU institutions, to Westminster in the UK, and on Capitol Hill where she lobbied primarily on issues relating to healthcare, education and human rights. Her expertise in the field of privacy and data protection stems from the original proposal of the GDPR back during which time she advocated for changes to the Regulation on behalf of the healthcare sector.
