Virtual Tools for Systems Thinking

All of the complexities and interdependence in our world has never been more evident. Let’s embrace it! Systems thinking is a powerful approach for understanding the world around us, thinking critically and creatively about the bigger picture, and developing capacity to take action! One of the practices in a systems thinker’s “toolbox” is systems mapping. Systems mapping allows us to visualize connections and causal relationships that form a complex and unified “whole,” understand its overall purpose, and even find places to create sustainable and meaningful change. This can be practiced by anyone, anywhere – and can become a powerful habit of the mind! This session will be a mix of theory and practice; educators will play with digital tools and platforms for digital systems mapping and causal-loop diagramming. Jump in and let’s explore the world with the systems lens!
